Multi-national Mobility Networks delivers a comprehensive portfolio of global accessibility products to bus, coach and midi/mini-bus operators and convertors. This impressive range includes wheelchair access lifts, ramps, escape hatches and door opening systems that deliver assured performance and reliability. Part of Mobility Networks, PLS is the UK-leading name in the design, manufacture and maintenance of powered lifts and ramps for commercial accessible vehicles. This market-leading range generated significant numbers of visitors onto stand J92 – all keen to discuss why PLS’s complete package of lift provision and servicing is seen as first choice by many in the PCV sector. PLS is the only accessible vehicle lift manufacturer in the UK to deliver this level of holistic support in terms of product design and installation, through to maintenance, warranty cover and technical support.
The central focus of the Mobility Networks showcase at Eurobus consisted of a full size coach rig that included three AccessTM lifts. These popular lifts demonstrated the varying entry points that can be achieved on a coach by PLS engineers. PLS can fit either side front entrance, bottom-locker or ski-locker solutions for safe lifting and lowering of wheelchair passengers. The EQ lift on display represented the latest evolution of PLS’s Ski-locker Lift as it encompassed a new, more aesthetic design. Handrails have also been enhanced to ensure smoother, easier deployment and storage so usability is even more efficient. The EQ was demonstrated alongside the Front Entrance fully automatic, two-piece coach cassette platform with PLS Magic Floor. This unique and patented combination provides seamless transfer from roadside to raised passenger deck for wheelchair users.
Mike Simmonds, CEO of Mobility Networks commented: “With the synergy between Mobility Networks’ global connections and the strength of the PLS brand in the UK, I am delighted to say Eurobus has been a success for us. Once again the showcase of AccessTM lifts has demonstrated the quality, precision and performance that is assured when specifying PLS coach and bus solutions. We were busy all three days explaining PLS service and maintenance packages that deliver cost effective, efficient support for fleet managers. Our skilled nationwide team has the capability and expertise to meet all servicing requirements from annual services to LOLER testing so VOR time is minimised, irrespective of fleet size or type. When you consider the commercial benefits of choosing an established specialist that can provide both diligent servicing and world-class lifts, there is no other choice than PLS, part of the Mobility Networks Group.”
