In October 2008 at the annual CTA exhibition PLS launched the world’s first, FULLY AUTOMATIC UNDERFLOOR TAIL LIFT which includes AUTOMATIC RAISING HANDRAILS AND AUTOMATICALLY EXTENDING PLATFORM... This product has been three years in development, the most difficult areas were linking the handrails mechanically to the hydraulically powered platform extension.
In the future we see ALL lifts of this type being fully automatic, the main benefits being reduced litigation exposure from accidents when manual handling, and importantly the operator who could be a paramedic can keep their hands clean and free to assist users / patients.
Every consideration has been given to, ease of operation, safety, reliability and creating a speedy yet simple method of operation. This lift is a huge leap forward in wheel chair lift operation, utilizing the latest design technology we have provided the operators with a state of the art lift system.
